Here's a picture of the cake I made for Christmas. My son seems fascinated with penguins so I decided on making this cake. Its a rich fruit cake covered with fondant with a light coat of royal icing for the snow effect. Everything on the cake is edible except for the Pole which is made of a lollipop stick.
Our Church was organizing a bake sale & all the proceeds of the sale were going towards charity. I made this Bouquet of Flowers cake for the bake sale. Its a chocolate buttercream cake decorated with gumpaste flowers. It was my 1st attempt at trying most of these flowers mounted on a floral wire.It was a good learning experience trying out these gumpaste flowers. Now I need to try & work on learning to make floral sprays. The sides of the cake was made using Pepperidge Farms, Pirouette Rolled wafers.
Here's a cake I made for a dear friends son's 1st Birthday. She wanted the cake to match the colors on the Birthday Banner & wanted a figurine resembling the birthday boy in his birthday outfit as a cake topper.
I didn't quite like the Birthday Banners at party supply stores so decided on making one. Got a few ideas from etsy & managed to make this. I was quite satisfied with the end result coz I'm not much of a craft person.I have also included a picture of how it looked on the day of the party.
I tried matching the smash cake for Braedyn's 1st birthday by replicating a miniature version of the giraffe I made on his Birthday cake. The cake was a strawberry cake covered in vanilla buttercream icing.
It's been really long since I last updated my blog.I recently celebrated my Little One's 1st Birthday. Surprised how time flies so fast. Attached are pics of the cake I made for his 1st Birthday. The cake was made to match the Giraffe Birthday theme we planned for Braedyn's 1st Birthday. It was a chocolate cake with Strawberry Butter cream filling. I also made some confetti cupcakes topped with vanilla Buttercream for the kids at the party.
