Christmas Cake for Braedyn's First Christmas

This Christmas was special for us as a family as it was my Baby's First Christmas. Its been difficult managing Baby Braedyn & making time to do the household chores, leave alone taking time out to decorate a cake. But I somehow managed to bake my baby his first Christmas cake , all thanks to my hubby who volunteered to help me manage Braedyn.

The cake is a rich fruit cake, covered in Duff's fondant. I used the same color scheme for my cake as that of my Photo Christmas card - Red & Electric Green. The snow flakes & gift boxes are made using royal icing.

Everything except for the cake topper (pic frame) is edible.

Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Holidays to you & your family.

The Christening Cake I made for my Little One -Braedyn

Its been a while since I've posted on update out here. For those of you who are following my blog, I'd like to introduce you to my little bundle of joy Braedyn Karson .He arrived on 13th May 2010. He's been keeping me busy & I'm enjoying playing Mommy 24x7       ;-)

Being a first time mommy isn't an easy job, hence the cake I made wasn't very elaborate. I made a christening dress themed cake. All of the accents were made of MMF & the cake was a lightfruit cake (my all time favorite).

My Baby Shower Cake

Hello friends!

I know its been really long since I've updated my blog with Cake Pics. Actually I've been really busy baking my bun . Motherhood is such a wonderful feeling. I had taken a break from cake making as my Little One is keeping me busy these days. However took time out to make my own Baby Shower Cake & enjoyed molding the characters for the Winnie the Pooh Themed Cake.
It was a chocolate cake , layered with Nutella Ferrero Rocher Filling , iced with Buttercream & covered with home made Marshmallow Fondant. Everything on the cake is edible.I shud be expecting my baby anytime soon. Please do keep us in your prayers. C ya soon!

Heart Cake for my Hubby's Birthday

I made this cake for my hubby's birthday! It was planned at the last moment .Since valentines day is round the corner I thot why not make a cake that goes well for both occasions, so I decided on making a heart cake. I made his fav chocolate cake with Butter Cream Filling & covered it with homemade MMF . The flowers & frills are made out of gumpaste . It was worth all the trouble coz my hubby loved it.
