This was a cake I made for my 2nd Marriage Anniversary as a Gift for my Husband .It was the first time I tried making Marshmallow Fondant.I made almost 40 Fondant roses (small, medium & large) in advance & enjoyed every moment of it. I also tried using the ribbon technique which I happened to see in a Cake decorating book at a bookstore (at Borders) . I loved the way the cake finally turned out.I also added a Fondant lace frill to the edges which made it look elegant. The Roses are made of Rolled fondant with Gumtex added to it.
I cant even comment on this cake...I cant its just soo beautiful. I cant imagine the hard work u've taken to make those roses but as u said the end result is OUTSTANDING.
Your cake looks really good! I made MMF for my ribbon/bow cake and was worried the MMF wouldn't be stiff enough for roses. Did you have to add the gumtext to the MMF?
Thanks a lot Steph for dropping by.Sorry I forgot 2 mention, I used the MMF only to cover the cake. The roses are made with Wilton's Rolled Fondant,I added some gumtex powder to it. I'll surely update that in the description.

hehe......Although it involved a tedious task of making these 40 roses I enjoyed every moment of it. Especially after seeing the end result.
